Added some cool new features to Dorkazine. One of them you’ll see below. It’s a star rating system. You can now rate any article that you like or like even more.
Don’t forget – there are a lot of old articles you should probably go back and give some love to. Make them feel they are part of the Dorkazine family. Give them a “Cyber-hug” if you will.
…or just give em .25ยข and send them on their way. They’re good with that, too.
Kelly Coffman Lee loves Tofu. The “Bean-Curd” that is consumed by many and is usually associated in vegetarian living is something she wants to tell people about. Therefore when it was time to get a new license plate, she figured – Why not get a plate that really shows my love for this product.
She went to the Colorado DMV and signed up for ILUVTOFU. The DMV looked at that – and came back and said no. Not because they are against Tofu, but because of the alternate meaning to the plate. I LUV to FUnk.
OK, it might not be Funk. But you can make the change. Actually – before you chastise this – it was probably a good idea for the DMV to make this decision. Think about it. You’re driving down the street with your ILUVTOFU plate and you get all these cars come up and honk at you. If you are a pretty good lookin person, you might get someone to come up and make some lude comments.
Maybe TOFUILUV would be a better choice. When I signed up for my custom plates, I had to write down 4 choices just in case my first choice is already taken. I wonder if she got another version of the plate name.
For now, if you love Tofu, you might want to think about how to say things when you get your license plate.
I remember seeing him on the casting calls and thinking: “Yeah. He’s not going to last”. Boy was I wrong. William Hung, move over. It’s time for Norman Gentle.
According to Nick Michell’s admission, he was only doing it as a comedy routine. However, when the group thought he had a great voice, he was going to Hollywood.
Now it’s time to change.
Nick does have that look of the washed up 80′s lounge singer. No offense to Huey Lewis – I could have easily said Greg Kihn or a host of other 80′s Pop singers. But he does have that look and feel – along with the Will Farrell “Over the top” acting.
Without the outfit and by taking a more serious run to it, he might just go a little farther than he expects. Even with the outfit, if Nick tunes down the comedy, his voice can take him farther.
But if he doesn’t make it to the top 12, will we see him on the set of Saturday Night Live? He does have the comedy face – I first thought of Bob Rivers, from the Twisted Christmas albums. No matter what, Nick has just vaulted his career into a new direction.
That’s the Power of Love…
I was working on my solo show for this weekend when this song popped in. It’s mostly a song for a friend who lost someone a long time ago.
*Warning* it is one of my darker songs.
Just had a hurricane run through my head
And I think it’ be better if things were left unsaid
Now I’ve fallen from my comfy bed
