Apple, Bluberry, Cherry, Pumpkin – these are all you can savor. Especially today, for the National Pie Council has officially announced today is Pie day. So bring out your thumbs and pull out a plumb.

On a good summer day I can remember the preverbial pie on a sill cooling. During Thanksgiving we would have Cherry, Apple and Pumpkin pies to choose from. Even those Hostess Pies from the grocery store have a distinct meaning.

Last night, we had Lemon Meringue. Last week it was Key Lime.

So grab your rolling pins and flour. Get all the pie fillings you can find. Set your ovens to 375. Eat some Pie!
