Dancing Babies, webcounters and bad color schemes. That was Geocities. Now that it’s gone, we can only remember the horrible designed, left for dead websites. Or do we have another option?

Wonder-Tonic has created the Geocities-izer – a website that will turn your favorite website into a Geocities – looking page. Complete with all those bad .gif files like spinning floppies and Bill Gates – turn to Devil.

Although Dorkazine doesn’t look that annoying, you should see what sister-site Geekazine looks like. Talk about a Packer fan’s dream – Green and Yellow with dancing babies…

The website also has quick links to sites like New York Times, Boing Boing and YouTube. Check it out with your own favorite website or just keep looking up Dorkazine. I wonder what Sportazine would look like…

It’s almost like when Jimmi Hendrix came up on the Woodstock stage and blasted the Star Spangled banner for all the attendees. Except this was on YouTube and it wasn’t Woodstock, but a Wood Bat – Louisville Slugger to be exact.

Glenn Donnellan of the National Symphony Orchestra uses a Derek Jeter Louisville Slugger bat strung like a violin to play this patriotic song. The coolest thing is that the bat doesn’t sound half bad. Then again, it was miced up so we may be hearing a great job of post processing.

This brings a whole new question to baseball. Not whether the bat was corked, but if it was tuned. Rosin is OK though.

And if he wants it to be more “Hendrix” authentic, for a finale, he should set it on fire, then hit a home run with it.

This week we look at the Turtle. A supposedly slow creature with his home on his back. But the Turtle can be a spry little creature and has some moves, as shown in this video.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a quality video up on YouTube. Not to say it’s been all “Guy gets hit in the Jublees” videos, but this one really showed us that there are independent artists out there that can produce high – quality work.

This movie is about a woman with Cancer. She creates a fictional world in where the Aviatrix fights the evil cancer.

It’s only 10 minutes (gotta love the YouTube restriction), but it says a lot. The video is well done and the graphics are also top-notch.

If you see one YouTube video this year… WHY? But nonetheless – watch this one. Also Check out the website – theaviatrix.com

In the spirit of the famous site that exploits the feline species. This video shows that Cats are just as much of a dork as the rest of us. This one likes those boxes that hold your favorite drink. It’s a fat cat, so I guess you could say that it’s trying to develop a six pack easily.

Anywho – Here is the vider.

It’s an inspiring video on how to go into battle. GO SOUTH!

Of course, Dorkazine is not a political site and does not endorse any candidates other than Alfred E. Neumann or Bullwinkle J. Moose. However when we find something funny, we feel compelled to show it off.

It’s interesting how people can use their computers nowadays. You can record a bunch of speeches, pull out key words or phrases and then use them to your advantage. That is what this person did in Barack Roll – a video spoof on YouTube using a famous Rick Astley song from the 80′s, a bunch of Obama speeches and a small guest spot on the Ellen Degeneres show. Rock on Barack.

Secret Pants is a sketch comedy group that records different video. The most recent video asks the question: Bush or Batman? They take the quotes either from the Presidential speeches and quotes from the popular 1960′s TV show. They then ask the public if they can tell who said what. You would be surprised what happens next.

Of course, the best part is the old guy. His comments are priceless. So check out the video below.
